The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection works closely with community organisations including Killorglin Sports Complex to help deliver many supports and services. They provide funding for the Community Employment Scheme which is based in the Complex.

CE is designed to help people get back to work by offering part-time or temporary placements in jobs based within local communities.
if you are a participant in a CE Scheme, you can take up other part-time work during your placement. After you placement, you are encouraged to look for permanent employment elsewhere based on the experience and new skills you have gained while on the Scheme.
